Saturday, July 23, Palisades State Park will be celebrating 50 years since it became a state park! There will be fun events happening all weekend, including a trails poker run. The fun starts Friday evening with a nature mobile.
On Friday, July 22, watch for a nature mobile with the park naturalist. It has all kinds of awesome nature stuff for you to look at!
On Saturday, July 23, the Trails Poker Run will happen from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. You will go to different places throughout the park and Garretson to stamp your sheet. Then, turn it in at the Palisades Picnic Shleter to draw your very own poker hand. Over $750 in prizes! After this event, there will be a presentation on our park expansion as well as an open house with a food truck!
At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, meet us at the Palisades Picnic Shelter to find out more about birds and the things they like to eat. Then, you will create your very own bird feeder to take home!
